Lawn Mowing
Lawn mowing for a great first impression
When you run a business, lawn care should be a top consideration. How a business represents itself can be indicative of how they conduct their business. Customers or clients who see a healthy, well-kept lawn go into your business with a positive first impression. On the flip side, customers or clients who see a messy, unkept lawn may already be forming a negative impression about your work. Yard Smart will take care of regular cutting and maintenance so that your lawn not only looks its best, but also stays strong and healthy. When you sign up for our commercial lawn mowing services, you can worry about the needs of your business knowing that your lawn will receive the care it needs, on schedule.

We are often asked if a lawn needs to be mowed weekly, bi-weekly or monthly. We strongly recommend weekly mowing for both aesthetics and health effects to your yard. Some benefits of regular mowing include:
- Healthy grass. Frequent mowing gives your grass the best chance of being vigorous and thriving. With less regular mowing, your lawn is more susceptible to shock and damage from the cut, which sometimes leads to brown grass.
- Even growth. When your grass is mowed regularly, it stays at a more uniform level which allows nutrients to reach the soil evenly. This helps new grass to grow.
- Nutritious mulch. With regular mowing, you get a consistent supply of mulch made up of grass clippings. This helps return much needed moisture and nutrients to the soil in your yard.
- Beautiful aesthetics. Customers and clients will get a great first impression of your business with your beautiful, manicured lawn.
- Avoid pests. An overgrown lawn is an open invitation for pests, including bugs, rodents or weeds.
Designed to fit your needs
While we typically recommend weekly lawn cutting, we are happy to create a custom lawn care program that best meets your needs. Whether you want your mowing to occur weekly, biweekly, monthly or on an as-needed basis, we are up for the job. You can also set the type of mowing. For example, if you have a property where customers do not visit you may only request a quick, rough mowing. On the other hand, a property with lots of visitors may need expert trimming and edging around sidewalks, trees and garden features. We can be rest assured that our work is designed to fit your needs and will not disappoint.

FAQ
Everything about commercial lawn mowing
How much do your commercial lawn mowing services cost?
The cost of our services varies based on a few different factors, including the size of the property/properties to be mowed, the type of cut you’re looking for (i.e. rough cut or more attention to details including edging and trimming) and more. We’d be happy to chat further with you; contact us today for an estimate.
What types of properties do you provide lawn mowing services to?
We provide lawn mowing (and other lawn care) services to both commercial and residential properties. Commercial properties range in size and could include businesses, industrial properties, townhouse and condo complexes and more.
What is a commercial mower?
A commercial mower is a durable piece of equipment, made with high-quality parts and designed for professional use. Residential mowers (such as the kind you may use in your backyard) are not made to hold up to commercial use. Rest assured that Yard Smart uses commercial mowers and regularly sharpens/changes our blades to ensure the best quality service.
Do you have insurance?
Yes! We have both public liability and property damage insurance, and our staff are covered for workplace injuries through the WSIB. We are happy to show you our proof of coverage upon request.
